Fossil plutocrats are capitalists, who make their money by owning fossil companies, Like the Koch family in USA, Daniel Kretinsky from Tschechoslowakia and so on. They make an extra profit by earning their money from an immoral business and so they defend their business with propaganda, lobying and buying press. Just like the big tobacco companies used to do, to keep their profits flowing.
